Congratulations, Sir! This well-deserved recognition is a testament to your purposeful leadership and enduring contribution to the educational ethos of Bishop Cotton School.
Bishop Cotton School, Shimla, takes immense pride in celebrating *Mr. Mathew P. John, Headmaster, who was honoured with the prestigious School Leader of the Year* Award at the India Habitat Centre on 10 October 2026.
Presented by the Honourable Omar Abdullah, Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, the award recognised approximately thirty school heads from across the country. Organised by the Association of Indian Principals (AIP), a pan-Indian organisation representing over 7,000 private schools, the recognition brought together distinguished educational leaders from diverse regions of India. Heads of reputed institutions, including The Scindia School, Lawrence School, Sanawar, and Assam Valley School, were among the awardees.
A fitting tribute to a leader whose quiet determination, steadfast vision and unwavering commitment continue to shape the future of education, this honour celebrates the powerful impact of leadership that speaks through action rather than words.
