The Summit is ours.....Mt. Yalung Nong in Leh (6090m)

The expedition was proudly flagged off by the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Shri Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, before the team set out to conquer one of the region's challenging peaks.

The team reached its Base Camp at Karzok (4,900 m) on 2nd August, followed by an acclimatization trek to 5,200 m on 3rd August, where the breathtaking views of Tso Moriri Lake prepared them for the challenge ahead. On 4th August, they crossed the demanding Yalung Pass (5,400 m) before establishing their Advance Base Camp at 5,300 m.

In the early hours of 5th August, at 2:00 a.m., the team began its final summit push. Battling freezing temperatures and strong alpine winds, they successfully reached the summit of Mt. Yalung Nong (6,090 m) at 6:40 a.m., greeted by a spectacular Himalayan sunrise and perfect weather—a fitting reward for their perseverance.

This remarkable achievement was made possible under the leadership of Amod Talwalkar, alongside team members Tenzin Tsewang, Aman Agarwal, Altamash Nomani, Manraj Singh Grover, and LaldinZuala. The expedition was expertly guided by instructors from Above 14000 ft—Mr. Rinku Sharma, Mr. Bhagwan Thakur, and Mr. Chander Thakur—whose experience and support ensured a safe and successful ascent.
