Shimla District Inter-School Soccer Championship 2026 

Bishop Cotton School, Shimla proudly hosted the Shimla District Inter-School Soccer Championship from 17th to 19th July 2026, bringing together seven talented teams in a celebration of competitive football, sportsmanship, and teamwork.

Participating schools included two teams from Bishop Cotton School, two teams from St. Edward's School, The Tibetan School, Stokes Memorial School, and Auckland House Boys School.

Both Bishop Cotton teams displayed exceptional form throughout the tournament, registering convincing victories in all their league fixtures:

- 5–0 against Stokes Memorial School
- 4–1 against Auckland House Boys School
- 4–1 against The Tibetan School
- 4–1 and 5–0 against the two St. Edward's School teams

The championship culminated in an exciting all-Bishop Cotton final as Joshua's XI took on Bhagirath's XI. After an enthralling contest ended 2–2 in regulation time, Bhagirath's XI held their nerve to secure the title 3–1 in the penalty shootout, bringing the tournament to a thrilling conclusion.

The Closing Ceremony was graced by Mr. Prithvi Sen, President of the Shimla District Football Association, as the Chief Guest, while Mr. Khushvikram Sen, the newly elected Zila Parishad Member from Junga, attended as the Guest of Honour.

The three-day championship witnessed intense competition, remarkable skill, and tremendous enthusiasm from all the participating players. The quality of football on display reflected the growing standard of the game among young footballers in the region and made the tournament a memorable sporting spectacle.
