During the early years of the school, the house system and organized games were not fully developed, and the four large dormitories were identified by numbers (1, 2, 3, and 4). In 1906 these dormitories were reorganized into house dormitories.
The names and colours of the houses were chosen by Mr. G.S. Stocks, B.A., Senior Assistant Master. The house system was later refined and developed by Mr. F.R. Gillespie, Headmaster from 1919 to 1922.
The house names were chosen in honor of those who helped the school recover after the fire of 1905, and Lefroy became the first house created in 1906, named after Rt. Rev. George A.A. Lefroy, third Bishop of Lahore.

Proudly through life we take our test, Honour's shield we claim. Till we achieve and never rest, We strive to play the game. Sincere, we always do our best, Victory our aim.
