Ibbetson House was formed in 1907 and named after Sir Denzil Ibbetson, Governor of Punjab (1907–1908), who was widely admired for his efficient administration.
It was the second house formed after Lefroy House. The house colour is Oxford Blue, and the first House Captain was L. Rossetti in 1907.
The first House Master was Mr. J.V. Malley in 1909. The house continues to uphold its tradition of discipline, service, and academic commitment.
