This week saw the Bishop Cotton School’s Wall Climbing finals on the second flat after weeks of training with our mountaineering coaches.
In a gripping event which had the audience gasping in awe our real-life Cottonian spider-men were an impressive sight. Well done to all the participants but especially the Ibbetson and Lefroy teams who won the proficiency and challenge trophies.
Brigadier Sharma was the chief guest and he was very impressed by the Cottonians’ grit and determination as they battled their way up the very tricky artificial wall climbing course. The competition was broken up into different divisions depending on the age group of the children and on the morning the course had been changed from what was there earlier for training, making it an especially hard course to negotiate.
