BCS CPR information session

Thanks to Dr Kartik Syal for taking time from his busy day job as Assistant Professor Anaesthesia & Intensive Care at IGMC, Shimla who joined the school to give vital life-saving messages to our Cottonians and staff. The school has recently purchased a life-saving AED machine and this has prompted the discussion of what we can do if faced with a medical emergency. The school has a 28 bed infirmary and an around the clock medical staff, with a doctor holding a daily surgery for any issues.
The boys were very attentive and even asked questions about how long manual CPR should be given for; and what to do if an adult is not around. We hope to have Dr Syal and his colleagues back to give hands on CPR demos with dummies over the next few weeks.
