A group of Cottonians visited La Martinere, Kolkata for one of the most prestigious MUN’s in India. Despite being new to this type event they did not fail to show their presence and have an impact.
Some committees that were particularly highlighted were:
UNSC- We have our Albanian delegates Brijesh N and Aaron K coming in with well articulated arguments. They did not let themselves blend in with the background and showed off their presence by making full use of their allotment. They were a great addition to the committee and contributed valuable arguments to the same.
UNGA-SOCHUM- Here we had Hrishi R, the academic secretary, representing China. Coming in with excellent research and paperwork, he showed willingness to work collaboratively with others to find a peaceful resolution to the commitee. Overall, our Chinese delegate was a strong and valuable part of the committee.
FUTURISTIC NATO 2026- Probably the most exciting committee at the event we had Drishtpreet Singh G and Bhavya J representing Netherlands from our school. The Executive Board commended them on their logical arguments and stated that they lost on the award by a narrow margin. The others, although not on the same level as the above three, performed well for their first time and gained valuable experience for upcoming events. Thanks to the teachers Mrs P Wilson and Mrs R Sood for taking the boys.
