Ibbetson House Night Captivates Audience with Stellar Performances
On the evening of May 25, 2024, Bishop Cotton School, Shimla, witnessed a
spectacular showcase of talent during the Ibbetson House Night. The event, held in the
school’s auditorium, began with a warm welcome from the House Captain, who
emphasized the importance of celebrating the students’ creativity and hard work.

The night opened with a beautiful piano performance of “River Flows in You” by the
talented Srijit, whose delicate notes set a serene and enchanting tone for the evening.
Following this, the audience was transported to Neverland with the intriguing and
well-executed English play, “The Trial of Peter Pan.” The actors’ dedication and skill
brought the classic tale to life, captivating everyone present.

Adding a burst of energy, the Goan Dance performance brought the spirit of Goa to
the stage with vibrant costumes and lively rhythms, earning enthusiastic applause
from the audience. The choir then delivered a powerful rendition of “I Am Still
Standing,” celebrating resilience and strength through their harmonious voices. This
was followed by a rollicking Hindi play which showcased the trials and tribulations of
Musaddilal in official red tape.

The evening continued with a humorous skit that lightened the mood and showcased
the students’ comedic talents. The program concluded with a moving solo/duo song
by Ansh and Lavansh, leaving the audience in awe of the diverse talents within
Ibbetson House.

Overall, Ibbetson House Night was a resounding success, highlighting the students’
dedication, creativity, and unity.
