French cultural event – La Vie En Rose (Life in Pink)

Traditional French Folk dance

This week (15 November) we were treated to a French event in school on the first flat. The French students from classes 6 – 8 had their text books brought to life with a story of a little clown Petite Patate, and his dream sequence with the four seasons. Models and floats, songs and folk dance, even French food were experienced together with a mime show, highlighting famous aspects of French culture. We even had our 2 BCS French boys from Paris help in getting the accents correct with the others. The whole event was a joy and thanks to all who worked so hard to put on such a fun and magical evening. Rameshwar Singh Thakur, IPS Officer (with his wife) was the Chief Guest together with Francois Laederich, Amiksa Cheese who makes authentic French cheese in Mashobra.

Thanks goes to all the staff and boys who helped create and put on the show and to those BCS boys who performed for everyone to enjoy – especially our French Teacher Radhika Sharma.
