Thanks to the teachers who took twelve students (Mrs Pratima Wilson and Mrs S.Vandana Chauhan) to the Vidhan Sabha (Legislative Assembly) of Himachal Pradesh, to witness an ongoing two hour live budget session in accordance with the academic syllabus. Political Science and History students went on this field trip. The group got a wonderful opportunity to meet the honourable speaker, Mr Kuldeep Singh Pathania whose son, Sunabh Singh Pathania is an old Cottonian and he said he was very emotionally connected with the school. The students also conversed with him regarding the legislature. The seating area for the students was right above the Vidhan Sabha session and we had a clear view of the live session. They also heard various issues of the state being discussed and learnt how the MLAs actually discuss the never-ending problems at the state level. It was overall, a great and thrilling experience for the group.
