Shimla, India – October 2024 – Bishop Cotton School (BCS), Shimla, recently celebrated
its 165th anniversary with the Old Cottonians’ Weekend 2024, a three-day event from
October 18-20 that brought together alumni, dignitaries, and current students to honor the
school’s long-standing legacy and capture the essence of the ‘Cottonian Spirit’ that has
influenced generations since the school’s founding in 1859.

Ghost that thrilled students. “The ghost stories gave us shivers, but it was thrilling to learn
about BCS’s unique history through this stunning show,” said one student.

Director Simon Weale attributed to the school community’s dedication to excellence. “This
recognition honors our efforts to continuously improve across all parameters of K-12
education,” Weale said. The school now offers both CISCE and Cambridge curriculums, with
teachers who have completed Cambridge training programs, leading to enhanced classroom
teaching and student outcomes.
