Last Saturday 9th April, saw our BCS Inter House Climbing Finals together with Chief Guest OC Somnath Banerjee. The BCS purpose built climbing wall towers high over the cricket pitch and was one of the first to be built in a school in India. Young Cottonians were seen scrambling their way up the route in the fastest time in one single attempt, to the cheers of the whole school and staff. Our mountaineering coaches watched on carefully keeping the whole event safe and fair.
The senior boys had the extra challenge of clipping a rope into a pre-placed extender along the route – showing off their speed, strength and agility. Well done to all the Cottonians who have trained on this grueling climbing wall for the past 6 weeks.
