“The greater the obstacle, the more glory in overcoming it”
Up amongst the tall and ancient pine trees in Bishop Cotton School, Shimla there is a special place for the Cottonians to show their true grit and fitness in the school forest.
Col Ravinder Joon was our chief guest for the much anticipated Inter-House Obstacle finals in the BCS Forest last week. The boys are timed as a team across the obstacle course in four different categories depending on their age. The boys train hard for this event in the Sports sessions for weeks beforehand. Building strength, agility and bravery along the way.
Rivaz won the overall trophy for the event – which showed off the bravest and most agile Cottonians in school. Well done all participants
Bishop Cotton School, Shimla Obstacle Course Competition
Proficiency and Challenge Cups: Rivaz House showed exceptional skill in
navigating obstacle courses, leading the standings in both cups. Their strategic
execution and physical prowess were evident throughout the events. –
Other Houses: Lefroy House, Ibbetson House, and Curzon House also performed well,
each tackling the challenges with enthusiasm and teamwork, contributing to an
exciting and competitive season. The sports season at Bishop Cotton School has been
characterized by its diversity and the high level of competition across various sports
disciplines, reflecting the school’s vibrant sporting culture.
