Bishop Cotton School (BCS), Shimla will be taking an U15 cricket tour of the United Kingdom (UK) from 8th June, the first international cricket tour of its kind in the history of the school.
The tour squad of thirty-three boys will be playing matches against some of the most prestigious schools in the UK including Eton College, Marlborough and Westminster.
In addition to the cricket fixtures, the boys will view the iconic sights of London, visit Cambridge University and watch a match at Lords Cricket Ground.
This will be the first time that BCS has been on tour in this fashion, but the school is committed to further regular international trips and exchanges.
BCS Director, Simon Weale, who will lead the trip said; ‘This should be a wonderful opportunity for the boys to experience another culture, to make friends and to develop their cricketing skills. We are delighted that our boys have been invited to play against some of the most prestigious schools in the UK. The boys cannot wait to get there and are looking forward to representing their families, their school and their country’.
Director Simon Weale has used his previous UK contacts to set up the tour which will visit some of the world’s oldest educational institutions: Eton College, Marlborough, Westminster School, Culford School, Merchant Taylors’ School, Aldenham and Forest School as well as the Leys School Cambridge.
